My entrepreneurship journey began with one simple decision: to get healthy.
It was a simple decision to make, because I was 300 pounds and struggling to find the energy to work and to see my own future.
In 1995, I had no idea how to lose weight the healthy way
I fell for the low-fat fad diet as my go-to solution.
I set-off to get ‘healthy’ by cutting the fat and ramping up my exercise plan, but soon realized I’d gone too far. I lost too much weight, felt lethargic all the time and was overall…still unhealthy.
A lot of experimentation later, I discovered that hemp hearts offered the right combination of essential fats to enhance my diet, allow me to build the strength and start feeling amazing every day.
That’s how I ended up co-founding Manitoba Harvest Hemp Foods in 1998, and began my journey to dedicate over 25 years of my life studying and practicing natural health.
But I haven’t stopped there.
I’ve learned that just because we grow up poor, doesn’t mean we can’t build extraordinary wealth.
Just because we are not formally schooled, doesn’t mean we can’t become fully educated.
Just because we are unhealthy, doesn’t mean we can’t build vibrant health.
If I can do it, anyone can do it.
Now after multiple 9-figure business exits, I invest, advise and growth coach entrepreneurs, helping them build world class companies and live their best life every day. I am also a best selling author and professional speaker.
